At The Coffee Shop, Bakewell we love making great coffee just for you.

Our staff are fully trained Baristas, which means they understand what has to go into your drink if it’s going to be the best there is. All our coffee beans are locally roasted in very small batches, making the coffees very consistent in taste and ensuring absolute freshness. We then grind the beans as we need them and make your cup of coffee to order with our Brasilia Espresso machine.

Espresso

This is the starting point for all our range of coffees but if you’re a purist when it comes to cafe life then the single or double shot espresso is the traditional Italian favourite. Like all our coffee it’s made fresh for you and will have the beautiful hazelnut coloured crema on it’s surface.

Cappuccino

The cappuccino starts with an espresso made up with steamed milk and topped with a perfect milk foam. It’s often finished with a sprinkle of Thorntons chocolate powder but that’s your choice when you place your order. You can also choose a double shot to really heighten the coffee flavours and go for a large cappuccino if you fancy a really long chat with friends.

Latte

This is the long and milky coffee of the range. It’s made with espresso and hot milk but unlike its cousin the cappuccino, it has a smooth top without foam and a smooth taste to go with it. Perfect for coffee lovers who like things a little milder. Large or small, the choice is yours.

Americano

This is the no nonsense coffee. Made with a single or double shot of espresso and hot water. If you love black coffee this is the one for you, but we also serve it with a little hot or cold milk if you prefer. And whilst we mention milk, you can choose skimmed, semi-skimmed or soya milk.

Hot Chocolate Special

OK, there’s no coffee in this one. It’s pure indulgence made from our Thorntons Belgian chocolate blend, hot milk and topped off with marshmallow and flaked chocolate. It’s very naughty but if you love chocolate you won’t be able to resist.

Mocha

Our mocha is like no other. Not only is it based upon our perfect cappuccino but we only use Thorntons chocolate mixed into the espresso shot before we start to add the milk. This makes sure you get a gorgeous blend of cocoa and coffee flavours from the first sip to the last little slurp. We’ll top it off with chocolate flakes just to make sure it’s the best mocha you can get.

Take away

We’d love to see you relaxing and chatting in our cafe but if you need to keep on the move we’ll prepare any of our drinks to go.

As well as our hot drinks we have a range of iced version for warm summer days or just as a bit of a change.

Iced Latte

A double shot of espresso, milk, ice, a dash of cream, all blended into a smooth refreshing coffee.

Iced Mocha

Exactly the same as our iced latte but with the additional luxury of Thorntons chocolate.

Caramel Iced Frappuccino

Iced latte, laced with caramel syrup topped off with fresh whipped cream, caramel sauce and Thorntons chocolate. Now that’s what we call rich.
